In the late 1950s this was one of the first all metal kit car dune buggy built on a VW Beetle shortened pan or frame.
EMPI owned part of Land Sea Air Inc., Riverside California. They sold lots of plans and lots of kits.
The EMPI Sportsters where built at Econo Motors in Riverside, California.
