Anyone out there with current info on Manzanita? NPS website says boatramp not accessible but hasn't been updated in weeks. Webcam has been out for years now. Fly Shop doesn't seem to have up-to-date info.
Thanks

Thanks Lance
Makes trip planning a bit easier.
A little off topic but McCumber Reservoir, just a little down the road, is ice-free and fishing well for some.
Keep an eye on this link.. The next sat img's should be on the 14th, 19, 24th, etc

McCumber it is. Always liked that little lake even without Manzanita's great view.
And the satellite.....Pretty cool. Thanks!

In the 1970s we fished McCumber, Manzanita, and smaller Grace and Nora stillwater fisheries from round float tubes.
There used to be limited rough camping at McCumber.
I heard that Manzanita has cabins now and some amenities.
Both lakes have callibaetis mayflies and damselflies.
Manzanita has the large "motorboat caddis" in the evening at times.
Later we evolved to small prams which are still very popular today.
Canoes, kayaks, SUPB and pontoon boats are good too.
May/June is usually a good time but it might be later this year.

Manzanita has cabins? I know McCumber does, been 20+ years since I last fished it.
I fished Manzanita once right at ice out at the start of a 3 day trip. My first cast, the first of the trip, resulted in a beautiful, if skinny 18” Rainbow. I thought ”I should just go home now - it’s all downhill from here”. It was the only grab I got the entire trip.

"Back in the day," there was little help fishing anything except "word of mouth."
