    Default Lower Yuba River flows?

    From CFFU group email:

Just got this message from local Yuba River Guide Frank Rinella:

"The flows have been and will continue to stay up, there will be a reduction
starting June 1st through August 31. The summer reduction will still be high
with a base flow around 3,500 cfs, the base flow currently is 5,000cfs with
2,500 cfs plus or minus changes.

We are still fishing with the higher flows and have had some really good days.

The fish are holding in the soft slower water or back eddies. Nymph with rubber
leg stones and a flash back PT, or fish Fat Albert’s dry fly fishing."

That depends on the weather and the snow pack each year.

In a draught cycle it can be 1,000 cfs.

flows of ~6K or less yesterday.....off and on rain, wind, and lightning.....I messed around for about an hour, bailed when I saw lightning too close, went home and watched golf. There's plenty of fishable water. It is on the cold side for this time of year (53 degrees). There are birds working the surface so something is coming off, hard to tell what in the wind.
