The old 796-4 RPLIII is the same as a newer 796-4 VPS if you can find one.

Default How About an RPL+ ?

    Stonefish?

I've got a Sage 796-2 RPL+ with GraphiteIII that is like new with the original tube and sock if you're interested. Only used it a couple of times for steelhead. Send me a PM. I'll take any resonable offer.

    Tony,
Sorry for the delayed response, but I've been away fishing. Thanks for the offer, but I really want a 4 piece.

That 796-4 RPL is probably my favorite stick I own. Have caught many fish at Pyramid and on the Yuba with it.

Free bump for you, heres to hoping you find one.

I know I've said it before...but for a similar if not cheaper price you can get a custom built graphite rod from Jim Clarkson in Chico at Raptor Rod Works (google it). He may even have RPL blanks in the shop. I keep putting his name out there because he has done such good work for me over the past 8 years I've been dealing with him. The customer service and craftsmanship are the best you'll ever find. His turn around is quick. And you get EXACTLY the rod you want. Give him a call and he'll be happy to chat about the rod you want.

There are few things in life more pleasing than the sublime marriage of form and function that is found in a well crafted fly rod.
