A great product and easy too use. This is what I now use for the heads on the sea habit and my ALF bait fish patterns.
Brian, it was good to see you at the Pleasanton show. I'll be in touch with you

The Goo is the Poo!
Been using it, selectively, for about 6 months. It's expensive but I'm sold on it for my use....

I was wondering if this Goo can work on small flies. I sometimes use different stuff for pheasant tail nymphs with a flash back or other small nymph flies. Not sure whats out there on the market now for use on just smaller stuff and whats the easiest or more affordable product to use.
What's out there in the way of adhesives is too much to list by brand here. Some tyers use epoxy for coating the backs of the thorax on their flies and those can be small. You could use CCG (UV cured) for that purpose, as well. CCG comes in several variations; thick, thin, flexible and brushable. One of those should meet your needs.
Of course, other adhesives may appear similar and do the same things that CCG will do (e.g. Bug Bond, UV Knot Sense, etc.) Others will do something similar, cost less but might take a lot of effort/time to use and be messy. You might find that something like Sally Hansen's, Hard as Nails is all you need....
I tie a bunch of salty flies and warm water bugs and use CCG on some of them, Shoe Goo, Softex on others. My choice for top coat is Sally Hansen's. Some of that choice is based on cost, some on whether I can tolerate the fumes. The point is, your choice(s) should be made based on your experience with a particular product.

Thanks for all the good advice Darian! I have some of those products like UV Knot Sense and Shoe Goo but have never used them for that purpose. I will also try Sally Hansen's, Softex and buy some thick CCG to see what works best for smaller nymphs. I don't like buying items that are not for fly tying because I learned the hard way that cheap materials takes a toll on durability and appearance of the fly. I just thought I would ask on how CCG would handle on small stuff to see how easy it is to use and now I got some other items to try until I find a good match for me. Who knows maybe it might be on my fly tying desk all along!
