first Shad report for the American River for 2010

We had a report of someone getting a couple of Shad down near Cal-Expo/Paradise Beach area wading.

**Our old friend Henry Starr who was a real Shad Addict, now in Shad heaven, told me that there were always Shad in the American River by mid-April.

I guess April 9 is close enough for Shad..........

Even in low flow years?

When I first started going out to the AR for shad, I would wait till the big flows started 2500-3500 plus to go out..

That is probably why I always started too late in the season
