Some other important flies for fall would be streamers and leeches. Browns will be getting active.
And there's nothing like that grab.

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

So we have 8 so far including myself, we can roll with this, or if anyone else would like to join I'm down for that. Everyone who has joined just PM me with the fly you are going to tie so I can get a list together. Remember "favorite fall nymph, or wet fly" (streamers included). I'll give it a couple of days or so once I get everyones fly info, i'll set a due date.

I would love the opportunity to hone my fly tying. I was thinking about an October Caddis imitation. I have decided on the #10 orange bodied Serendipity. It should work. Here are the details on how to present the fly.

Ok, I've read through this whole thread again and it appears this swap has morphed into a "fall trout subsurface fly" swap with mayfly nymphs, caddis larvae, wetflies, stoneflies, and streamers allowed? I have absolutely no problem with that whatsoever, just wanted to be clear, because if this is the case, I would like to change my planned tie from black A.P. Nymphs to Hare's Ear Soft Hackles.
