Virginia Lakes area....golden trout?

Hey Guys,

My wife and I will be at Virginia Lakes for a few days in September, and although I have fished these lakes many times, I wanted to know if there is an opportunity to catch goldens higher up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you referring to the Virginia Lakes near Conway Summit? If so, the
best golden trout fishing in the "area" is in Lake Mary near Bond Pass in
Yosemite Park. Another lake with "goldens" is just south of Twin Lakes
out of Bridgeport - ask at the sporting goods store in Bridgeport. Good
luck as this area is not a Mecca for goldens and these fish are all hybrids.
