Default Fishing w/ Ryan Miller at AK West

Enjoyed a great time on the tundra at AK West fishing with Ryan Miller last week. The camp was loaded with ace sticks for the first week including Ed Ward, Dec Hogan, Jeff Hickman, Tom Larimer, and Jason Koertge. It's gnarly enough capturing hot kings on the swing, add in having Hickman, Larimer, Ed and Dec on the water offering pointers all day. The Kanektok and AK West is a truly epic place. Posted a few pics (most taken by others) in a slideshow here:

I know that Alaska West is truly a fly fisherman's dream and I hope to get up there myself someday.

Thanks for the great post with unreal pictures.

Thanks for that. Now I'll be useless at work thinking about being in AK. Once you go, the place gets in your blood. I gotta go back...

Default swinging spoons and dodging loons

Is that a BC STEELE 50/50 2/5 oz spoon I see... dangling from an old Fenwick flyrod and lodged in that kings's mouth? heh heh heh.

That was the most fun boat ride I've never taken.

    Nice photo work!

Good to see Ryan having a blast up there.

    Default BAM

Great to see you Rob, that week was a blast. It was awesome getting to fish and hangout with all 'yall. Fishing is out of control right now, the kings are blowing through in good numbers. The big boys showed up in the last few days...

Hartwicks flies are KILLING!!! They are the hot item up here!

    Another day awaits!

    Default Settled in?

    Ryan:
Looks like you are settled in soaking it up and loving life. Those Kings look unbelievable, wish I could join you! Does this mean you may never come back ;>) ?
