Went to Verona today to see if any shad were around. Found good #s of American Shad. 25 to the boat for 2 anglers in 2 hours. Farmed 6 or so and had at least another dozen good bumps. Used GLX 8wts with 200-250-300 lines got fish on all of them. A Terry Thomas "secret weapon" shad fly was responsible for all the fish. I'd show you a picture of one but I would have to kill you. We were in the #3 spot and watched the #1 and #2 spot out fish us by 10 to 15 fish. At one point I had to take a call and in the short time I was on the phone we hooked 5 fish ! Good time-Great weather-I need a beer and a big hat. Its "Shad Time". Lets Go.

was out today at the mouth and it was pretty tuff fishing. feather seems to be a bit high and not the cleanest ive seen. fish were small.... only 12 in my boat today.its still early. tight lines to come
