Default Born To Be Wild Trout

As reported in the 4/22 issue of the San Francisco Chronicle: Born To Be Wild Trout: Local Fish Goes Global

...or just go to sfgate.com and type in Born To Be Wild Trout. Good article about streams and the return of native fish. There is hope yet for humankind!

Pretty cool Thom! I've seen those salmon mentioned in Marsh Creek! Check this out too...

Gives you a new perspective on what's actually "wilderness".

Steelie...Thanks for the link. Is Marsh Creek fly fishable or do they run you off? Thanks.

Thom, not sure about fishing it. I seriously doubt it's listed in any regs. and I'm pretty sure that you'd be run off. There were folks out there checking it out and I'm sure if I jumped in with a fly rod, they'd have looked at me like I' just stolen ice cream from a child. Also, I think that fishing it would probably be a mistake as I would rather have the population grow to the point where it might be a more valid fishery.

But I gotta admit it sure is tempting tho' and that's the first thing that came to my mind... where's my rod!! :P

    Later!

Steelie..I agree with you. Hopefully, the poaching is not that bad...Gotta give the fish time and room to grow.
