what is the best way to clean the handle?
I’ve used the super fine sand paper method. I’m not sure about any cleaner that could beat that.
Thank you will give that a try
I usually just use a mild abrasive, like Soft Scrub, and a sponge with a little water.
I’d probably agree with some of the thoughts on the asking price, although the GFL was my favorite Sage rod. But, much like home sales in my neighborhood, I hope you get it. I have several sage 506 and 508 reels, saw a guy selling 508’s and 509’s for $550-650, more than 3x what I’ve ever paid for one. Just need the right buyer, I assume.
Thank you for the input, pricing used stuff is never easy. If you go too low then the impression is there is something wrong with the item. If you go too high then you do not get the responses. I probably should lower the price.
Might be a good idea, your rod is an old GFL II right, not an RPL? I just bought a used Sage 7wt XP just north of $400.
The only designation on the rod and tube is GFL.
