Hogan Brown Fly Tying Seminar
Lodi Japanese Community Hall, 210 East Elm, Lodi, Ca, December 11, 2021, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Cost: $40 include lunch
Delta Fly Fishers is hosting guide Hogan Brown to teach you how to tie some of his favorite trout nymphs and dry flies for fishing our Central Valley waterways. Hogan is a well-known Fulling Mills contract fly tyer and a regular guest fly tyer for the Loon Outdoor video series. His trout, bass, carp, and striper flies have become staples in his home waters of Northern California and throughout the West. Hogan guides the Lower Sacramento, Feather, and the Lower Yuba Rivers plus Lake Oroville and many other Northern CA impoundments.
This will be a full day seminar, starting at 8:30 am with coffee and donuts, (maybe some fruit, bagels, and cream cheese, too). Hogan will begin talking about his experiences and describing in detail where and when to fish each fly. He will demonstrate tying each fly while you in audience tie along. Materials will be supplied for each of the flies that will be tied. We will take a break for lunch around noon, lunch will be Lockeford sausage sandwiches, some side dishes, and drinks. We will continue the tying seminar and hope to be finished around 3:30 pm.
We encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible, the event will be limited to 40 tyers. Cutoff date for this event will be Thursday December 9th. You may reserve your seat online by going to https://link.waveapps.com/kk24ht-3kxc4x
