I know I posted on Tony buzolich post I was just fishing delta due to crowds and fur bags, and the lice are out as well. But today my wife and I decided to do a cruise up river from knights landing. Beautiful day out as we shot up river a few miles. Pulled out the fly rod and banged the rocks and 20 minutes in nailed a nice little scrappy buck about 20 inches. Little later my wife made a cast and somehow? Her plug shot back at her and buried itself deep in her thigh. Day over as I had no tools on board to remove a hook buried so deep. Game over. So long story short if you have the time just to cruise with the current and hit the bank with flies you stand a pretty good shot of hooking nice stripers this time of year. Vis is only a couple feet. I was using a black and chartreuse clouser. I feel black casts a good shadow in the murky water. Purple too. The fish hit on second strip and fly was cast a foot from shore. Jake
