Default Wild King Salmon return to the Elwha River.

It is amazing what can happen after you remove the dams on a great river.

Hopefully the genepool is still there; Elwha historically had salmon over 100 lbs. So good to see.

I remember fishing the Elwa about thirty years ago and only caught a few trout. Frustrating to see such trophy pictures and know that it wasn't going to happen that day.

Maybe when more of these dams are removed there will be more success stories to tell again. Tony
