While in Bend I highly recommend going to the Orvis store located in the Old Mill section of town on the Deschutes. There is a fly fishing casting course with 18 targets on both sides of the river....

The Orvis store has been gone for a two years or so...

The best fly shop up here is Fin & Fire on Hwy 97 in Redmond. Besides a very complete stock, they have 22 local beer taps on the wall. It's called Fin & Fire because they also sell Traeger BBQ's.
