    Checked with Klamath and every single CA dealership. None.

    Called Klamath. None in stock until mid-August.

    There is 1 eight footer in the state of CA.

    Oh, my luck…..

    You're looking at a very narrow bottom boat. It will not be stable for two people, maybe not even for one. You can roll those narrow jons with a good sneeze.

    Have you thought about building a wood pram? There are plenty of stitch and glue kits and you could probably do it in a long weekend. You'd have a much more stable boat, probably avoid the center thwart which is a miserable thing in a small boat, and you could custom build the interior to your liking. Short of that, the old Valcos are wide, stable, and light. Great boats for someone who doesn't want an inflatable. If you want to spend some money, look at a Koeffler or a Don Hill drifter. They are a lot more boat than the thin tinnies, but you do pay for them.

    Clackacraft has a new line. 10', 55" bottom, $1400. Far better than the Klamath IMO.
