Excellent Ken! I like it! There is a good carp fishery on the Middle Fork Feather where I've seen similar feeding behaviors. The most challenging game there is presenting cdc cottonwood seed flies to risers - Tough.

I think it is all about the right time and place for carp, just like many other fisheries except I just don't know much about them.
Looks very similar to chasing Redfish.

Jon..........Their diet is so darn varied it's quite amazing to tap into it. I remember a day bass fishing with Andy Burk, during a lunch break we noticed some surface slurps "on white stuff." Took a few moments to figure out it was carp feeding on cottonwood seeds. We took out our scissors and started making "cottonwood flies" out of anything white in our fly boxes. Excellent time back on the water!
Bill.........The challenges are well worth it. Everything is based on where you find the fish (canal, slough, stillwater flat, river, stream, pond, delta tidal influence). Each habitat dictates foodchain and feeding behaviors. Carp are definately not one dimensional.

Ken
I was waiting for the "eat" on that one on the bank. Really enjoy your work.
I appreciate the post Terry. He did eat...I just didn't get it on camera...doh!!! Oh well next time.
Remember when we were talking down in Mexico, it's time to get that trout project on the books with you bud. Let's make it happen this coming season.
Cheers, K
