Anybody fish Caples Lake

Anybody fish Caples Lake on Hwy 88 by Kirkwood? Areas fished and good and not so good. Was thinking of fishing it this week or next if the snow stops. Thanks for any info..

I haven't fished it in a while, but always did better the further back I went towards the inlet creek.

Use to fish it in the fall right by the dam. Did very well.
Ever since they drained it to fix the dam, it's been really slow for me. Just a bunch of small hatchery fish.
Did fish the June lakes loop earlier this month and caught this pig. Silver lake , June lakes.

They put a lot..well the majority of the fish from caples during the drain into silver lake that is down the road from caples. BOth lakes are near me and I have not fished either this season. We recieved a good 4-6" of snow early mon. SO if your heading up be prepared for some cold weather. let us know how the trip goes.
