    Default Lost fly box

I was out on the Little Truckee for the Fourth of July teaching a few people. I must've had one of my side zipper pockets on my vest partially opened and my dry fly box squirted out. Its a small tan box, but its stocked pretty heavy if anyone's seen it. I tied most of the bugs myself, but there's a few tied by Andy Burk and Bob Quigley among others. There's a reward for the finder.

    Bummer.
I try to put my ph# on anything that could come loose. It's an old white water kayakers deal. It's bad juju to hold onto gear with someone's contact info on it.

Lost my "go to" dry fly box (terrestrials, Wulffs, parachutes, etc.) there last fall, still rebuilding it. Dang place is a dry fly vortex.

Thanks Doug! We got a big, pretty brown the other day and I was going to post up a few pics of it on the blog, but clients haven't sent me any of the shots off their i-phone yet. Their other phone which I used as their contact got dunked in the river, so its understandable. If it takes too long I'll probably do a fly tying tutorial in time for the weekend.

    That was a close one.....
Are you going to stop carrying collectors-level flies around, or write your name on the box......
So if I find them next time, I'll know who to thank....

Dan, It sounds like you need a sweet custom wooden box with your name engraved on it
