    Default Eagle Lake reports/hints?

A friend and I are headed north for some fishing the next couple of days, and we're planning a stop at Eagle. Any reports or hints and tips for us?

We'll have tubes with it it matters.

    Thanks!

Very early in the season (May) and then Oct/Nov/Dec is the average windows there.

November is a traditional month for lots of Eagle Lake fans......

Here is our info page on Eagle Lake under 'Reports' then under 'Fisheries' then to 'Nor Cal Lakes'.

Early and late in the day might be a good idea now.

The fish might already have good deeper with the heat?

Fishing is as good as it gets right now as we speak at Eagle. If you like to indicator fish its the way to go. Shrimp Island all the way down to Circus Grounds is the way to go. Find and points or rock piles and anchor up and fish with indicators. Pheasant tail nymphs in size 16 to 14 and leech patterns in burnt orange or red and black.
I do love me some "Stillwater" fly fishing....Ernie

Thanks for all of the responses. I fished an evening and a morning and couldn't cash in on a few good opportunities. I did final,y manage to stick one small guy just as I was about to quit and go so no skunk.

I whiffed all my fish dragging buggers, but midging saved the trip from el-stinko.
