For those of us that can't make it to the meeting tonight, will someone post any good information that comes out of the presentation to this thread? Thanks in advance.

Went to the Davis meeting tonight.....lots of old friends there who have belonged to that club for 30 plus years.

Jason did a great job with wonderful photos. Lots of beautiful rivers and exciting looking fish.

He said that mid-Sept to mid-Nov was his favorite time on the Klamath and Trinity Rivers for swinging wet and dry flies on a floating line with a two handed fly rod for Steelhead. He likes Switch rods and light Spey rods with short Scandi lines, long tapered mono leaders and classic winged flies for fall fishing. He also skates dries with lots of action in the fall with good success.

For winter fishing he guides out of the Eureka area on the Eel River mostly. He has a few other smaller rivers he guides depending on the weather. He recommended #7 and 8 weight Spey rods with Skagit heads, sink-tips and bigger flies for winter fishing.

He said Dec/Jan/Feb were the top months for winter Steelhead on average.

Jason said that October is his favorite month for swinging flies for Steelhead.......
