    Waiting for the day to backpack and fly fish the entire John Muir tail with my two boys. My boys at 1 and 3, so the fish are going to have to wait a little. Can't wait to show them this part of the high sierra.

    East Coast stripers, Yucatan baby tarpon and Venice Louisiana for both inshore and offshore are on the top of my list in no particular order.

    50lb red fish on top water, then I could retire from fishing. Oh yeah, not before I catch my 100lb rooster... Could 2013 be the magic year

    I'm with Bill in that there are some really amazing fisheries right here in the State of CA (NV, too!!) Honestly, maybe I'm biased but CA has got to be tops for DIVERSITY - bass, stripers, steelhead, salmon, shad, trout (many species), saltwater species... Too many to mention...

    and Zen, someday I would love to hike/fish the JMT w/ my wife and daughter as well...

    For me, a trip to the Bob Marshall Wilderness is a bucket entry.
