I never fished Rollins Lake before, but with a big North wind blowing yesterday and Rollins Lake being a narrow lake with lots of places to hide from the wind i gave it a try. Its a nice lake to fish from a tube, and we launch at the Greenhorn campgrounds boat dock and kicked around the point into a big bay, i was looking for smallmouth, but all i could catch were spotted bass and some other bass that looked like a cross between a smallmouth and a spotted bass. Water temp was 62 degrees at noon, didn't see any nests, all my bass were caught with a inter line and my translucent streamer. The catch of the day was a 12 inch, 3.2 lbs, apple pie from the apple kitchen on Hwy 174, a great place to stop and have lunch and a piece of pie.

I'm mot sure what kind of bass this was.
