    Default Delta 11/19

We had a good day. 10 stripers to 10 lbs and 3 small mouths. Yes that is a drift boat you see in the photos!!! My 4 hp gives me a limited range and therefore I can only cover a limited amount of water... so I work those areas hard to catch what I can.[img]

It looks like you had a great day on the delta even with a drift boat.

Nice stripers! Really curious about the smallmouths though -- what were they hitting?

My friend Richard Haavik, who has a lodge on Nimpo Lake in BC, told me that who ever has the biggest motor out of the lodge usually catches the least amount of fish because they run all over the place.

He says that the people who take out the boats with the smaller outboards actually do better because they spend more time fishing.

    Default small mouth

The small mouth (what a misnomer) took the same 2/0 clousers. We did vary the strip in that area. The water was so shallow we had to strip them straight in with no pause. Their grabs were much less subtle than the stripers.
