    I do Have one bug picture. They dont usually interest me enough to get out the camera. These are october caddis larva on the rogue.

    Default Entomology Pictures?

    Hi, I just signed up to Kiene's site. I am a flyfisher up above Sonora. Also love to photograph bugs and etc..."just an amature" but still enjoy it all!!


    I might have a couple (hundred ) pictures, so don't get me started.

    I actually have a couple of bug pictures . The pictures are of a stick I pulled up on my fly line. It was covered with bugs and most fell off before I thought to rake a picture . No wonder the fish in that hole like stone nymhs .

    Slim, WOW, how'd you get those shots. My guess is that you have an SLR with a macro lens and possibly even a macro ring light.

    Mark, there sure are a few salmon fly nymphs on that stick, very cool!

    Thanks, but actually most of the bug pictures I've taken had been with Nikon coolpix 4300. I do now own a Nikon D50 SLR but don't have the macro lens yet. I did take a couple of pictures with the D50 but a macro lens will make all the difference.. It'll take a while to save $1,000 for a good lens !!

    Here's a may nymph I've never been able to ID !!!


    A couple more May Nymphs
    A Yellow Quill and I forget the name of the second one, I have to look it up.
