    Default Pentax Optio W10

Has anybody tried this camera. It is waterproof up to 30 minutes I think and I found it on sale for about $246. I wonder if it is significantly better than the Pentax 33WR? My other digital camera took a little bath and is kaput. I want something that can take a little dunking now.

I think several of us are using that camera now. Check out Adam's posts on the W10 in this Photography section and the modifications he has made to his. I just bought one after dunking and ruining my Olympus, and it has been great so far. I added a 1 GB card and can take hundreds of pictures. The battery life is great too. Here are a few photos I took with it at Yellowstone last month.

I like my W10. It does a great job with outside photography and an OK job inside.

Oops it's actually the Optio W20 WP. I found one for $249.00 which I believe is a pretty good price. I was a little worried about the battery life as it is a specialty battery that is rechargeable and you can't just pop in a couple AA's from the local grocery store.

The W20 is nice, only main difference is that it is 7mp instead of 6mp. The battery life is great, if you're worried, buy another battery and bring it with you. I get 200 or more pictures out of one charge alone, but i also carry with me an extra battery most of the time, but I'm kind of a shutterbug.

I have the W20...haven't got it dialed in just yet, but I like it.

Here is a shot of a Pacific Bonito (using the W20) I caught in Mission Bay ... San Diego...the Bonito are a blast to catch....
