    Default More bead controversy

I think the majority would agree that a pegged bead is not a fly, but what about plastic beads that are heated onto hooks? I forget the name but they are even sold as flies in fly shops.
    1) put hook into vice
    2) grab bead with pliers
    3) light lighter
    4) hold ligher bellow hook
    5) lower bead onto hook until hook is in middle of bead.

Or even easy, buy montana fly or spirit river soft egg. Put crazy glue on hook. put egg on hook.

    Default Are Beads Actually Flies.....????

Steve,.... Not sure if we came to any conclusion for everyone participating but what you describe was discussed in the other tread. For me only, a bead melted onto a hook is not a fly.
