    Default Round Top Lake

    Hey guys,
Hiking into Round Top Lake with a friend tomorrow. I have never fished there before. Any advice or suggestions on what type of flies? I was going to tie some up tonight based on your recommendations.
    Thanks

I would have some dries and wets.

Small #12 leeches and wooly buggers

They should be very hungry right now and cruising the banks.

Look for a stream entering the lake if possible.

Hey Matt, please post a report about yur day up there(assuming you are referring to round top at carson pass). i have been very successful fishing the other lakes on the trail, but my one time at round top i was baffled. i worked all the deep and medium depth water all thru the water cloumn with every dang fly that i know work consistently, and spent plenty of time just watching the fishy looking flats without a single spotted cruiser. Look forward to seein a report, hope u slayed -Loren

When I was there nothing was happening at all. I didnt see any fish at all. Nothing rising ... nothing cruising the shallows. Not much to report. Sorry
