    Default North Umpqua river, Oregon 9/30/06

    Here is a report on the Umpqua from the Caddis Fly Shop in Eugene, OR:

    Fishing has been good on the Umpqua. The fish are around in good numbers. Dry fly fishing has been very good recently.

    Suggested Flies: Wake N' Bake #6; Steelhead Muddler Purple #4; Rusty Bomber #4; Purple Angel #4; Silvey's Spey Green Butt #2.

    October can be beautiful up there - colors are changing, fronts move in and turn on the fish - I hope to make another trip up there but it will be hard to pull myself away from the Klamath! So many places, so Little time!!

    The regs on the N Umpqua allow weighted flies in October - time to break out some of my tube flies!
