    Default Lots of steelhead in the lower Deschutes

    Just returned from 6 days fishing near the Columbia River. Plenty of hookups and quite a few nice fish landed. Many of the fish are 12 pounds or more. One of the guys that I fished with had 20 fish on during one day. He only landed 2.

    Not much for crowds after Labor Day.

    Best performing flies had whie wings like a GB skunk
