    Default Crystal Basin

Last Monday I headed up to the crystal basin with my buddy. We started out fishing Wrights Lake. We hiked all the way to the back of the lake where we found a bunch of brookies surfacing.

Had a great time throwing dries. Lots of roll casting. Must have caught about 20. The biggest going about 12". Elk haired caddis, light cadhill, and my own creation (Walker Caddis) all worked in a size 16. Any bigger they wouldn't touch.

Fished there for a few hours then deciced to go to North Tahoe hang out and get some lunch. Then we headed to loon lake after lunch.

Went to the dam and fished for the rest of the day throwing the same dries as wrights. Nobody was around! Caught three rainbows, alot slower then Wrights, but still had a great time.

Lake fishing in the Sierras should just get better now with the lower air temps of Fall.

    Thanks
