    Pretty cool Glen.

I can't believe we don't hear more about the 'Southern Cal' off shore salt water fishing.

I wouldn't mind being stationed there.

Plus great Black Bass fishing down that way.

Is that second photo of a Yellowtail?

    Hey Bill,

Yup, the second photo is a Yellowtail. I hooked it by tossing a (Murakoshi tied) sardina sea habit at the paddy you see over my left shoulder.

    Default SoCal Saltwater....

I'm envious Glen..... As an ex-patriot of SoCal, I really enjoy reports from the salt chuck down there. Looks like you guys have some warm water, too. Great pic's.

The water temps have been really warm in some spots. The day we landed those fish the water temp in the area was 75.5. A little further south they recorded 80 - 81 degree temps! A couple of weeks ago I read a party boat report that included dorado and skipjack. It's been an unusual season.

Thats very cool! Thanks for the report. I'm sure that YT put some hurt on your forearm I assume from your attire, that was the same day...? Looks like quite a weather swing from the look of the sky and ocean in each pick.

    Wow Glen !!!

To say I'm green is an understatement - Not only a Dorado on the fly (ya just don't hear about that kind of thing happening here in CA. ....) but a nice Yellowtail on top of that ......

Hope you bought a lotto ticket that night !!

    GREAT JOB =D>

    David

PS - I bet that Yellowtail was an asskicker

Just to add more to the "it's a Fantastic Season" down here in So Cal, Ocean wise...

I heard from a Customer in the Shop Sunday that a School of Hammerhead Sharks has been seen off the So Cal Coast...

Hammerheads haven't been recorded in So Cal waters in over 10 years.. back during an El Nino period of weather.... Warmer then normal Water temperatures being driven up North farther then normal...

Dorado, Skipjacks and Now Hammerheads... If these Warmer Currents keep coming up here, whats next on the "Sightings" List???

(I'm hoping we get ROOSTERFISH!!!...they've been reported as far north as Catalina Island... Maybe next month?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? )

Very good day there Glen.. do you ever work??
