Headed down to the Yucatan for baby Tarpon.

Keith Kaneko (Angling on the Fly) and I are headed to the western side of the Yucatan peninsula to check out some new remote destination that have not been fished by Americans as of yet.

We will fly into Merida today and met up with Marco Ruz of Yucatan Fly Fishing. Marco has 3 fly fishing destinations in the Yucatan now and we are helping him check out another new area this week. June/July/August is prime time down there.

This size fish in 4 feet of clear water on an 8 weight rod with a floating line is my favorite fly fishing.
