Silver Lake

Just got back from Silver lake on highway 88. The trip ended up being mostly swimming and hiking with the family, but I did manage a some time on the water fishing. I caught a nice brown on Silver lake using a #16 teeny nymph. I had several other hits on this fly and broke 3 off...should have used 6lb test I guess. The lake was fishing well despite numerous thunderstorms in the afternoon with 1/4inch sized hail...made for a mess at camp. I also ran over to the west fork of the carson and caught three ~12inch rainbows on green PT nymphs #16 and one on a #18 red zebra blood midge. Any how...here are some pics.
