    Default Yuba 7/18

I headed to the Yuba for my first time since the high water this year. Fished above the bridge for about an hour before dark last night. Saw no signs of fish, but there were lots of small olive mayflies. Returned this morning and did a little better. This 14 incher was the best, but it seemed a little skinny and did not fight as hard as most other Yuba rainbows that I have caught. He took a #18 beadhead flashback hare's ear and almost swallowed it. I needed my haemostat to dislodge it from way back in the top of his mouth.
