Lower sac shore access (colusa to sac)

Was wondering if there were any shore access points for shad (or stripers for that matter) on the sac, between Colusa and Sacramento, conducive to fly flingin. Thanks for any recommendations.

Try Road 48 east of Orland - used to be a nice big gravel bar with easy wading access.

I read on another board that the Rd 48 access has been closed to the general public. I think now you have to contact the property owner and pay him a fee for access through a locked gate. You might want to check out the status before driving out there....

Road 48 has been gated off from the public, but I have heard that people might be able to purchase a key for the gate for around $40 (not confirmed)
