Jepatock, have you looked on the Hyde or Claka websites? I know staying under 4k is hard. I bouight mine through Hyde. I am very happy with my boat. I looked for along time finally I made a really good deal with them. I am curious, it seems you have not decided what boat you want. I think that is most important. I would be glad to share my thoughts with you if you would like.

    Good luck,
    Chris

    Default Wanted: Used Drift Boat

I have rowed a few Hyde drift boats and was happy with the performance. I am looking at a 2001 LP with rower seat/bow storage, rod holders, cover, oars and anchor for $3900. The boat is in great shape and was sent back to Hyde to have the bottom resurfaced. I have been looking for a while and know this is a good deal. The owner is a guide in Idaho who set the boat up right. Is there anything I should be looking for in a used boat that you can suggest?

I have never rowed the LP before (only high sides), so I don't know how it performs. The rivers that I will be floating will be Yuba, lower sac and feather, with a trip every year to Montana.

Do you have any advice in regards to the LP?
