Wow - that SUCKED

On the water at 8:00 AM , off at 3:00 PM , threw everything at every depth and landed (you guessed it ....) THREE - two Spotted Bass around 12 inches and 1 Smallie at a bit over 16 . All on olive buggers .....

Not what I'd call hot fishing

I got to fish Dyke 8 from 4 to 6:30 yesterday evening. Fished well til the skiers showed, thats when I left. Fished from the ramp to the dam with the fish taking flashtail clousers on almost every sandy/rocky point in about 4-5 ft of water. Took a 17" smallie while it was bustin bait against the bank and four spotties the same size. Fun evening, but next time I'll take my seven wt instead of my 9(it was rigged and ready to go).

Now to get to the Delta for some that topwater!
