    Default Kansas Bass

Took my annual trip back to Kansas t ovisit my brother and try for my second turkey- we had a great time and got close to lots of birds but not close enough - nothing quite like the sound of a gobbler in the early morning.

So in the late morning we hit the bass pond on the property and fished until around 4 - what a day - we were throwing plastic with and without weight and between the two of us had at least 80 bass! Most were a pound or so but I managed one around 6# and we had several in the 3# range.

Nothing like a cast and blast! Do you get many ducks there too?

Not sure about a duck fly way - right on the Kansas Missouri boarder. Definitely saw ducks and geese. Great white tail area and fair for pheasants and quail.

Home prices would blow you away!!!! 3000 sq ft nice homes for under $250,000.

Now if there were only great spring creeks and steelhead I'd be gone!!!

Wow Rick, very nice pond and fish! Sure brings back favorite childhood memories of fishing similar private ponds when I was a kid -- have had a fondness for ponds ever since, great stuff!
