Default Salmon Fly and the Klamath

Can someone share information regarding the Salmon Fly Hatch and the Klamath River, like: What time of year?, How far up river are they comming off? Where does it begin? Is this a part of the river that cam be drifted in a boat?
I have not been farther up river than Orleans and would like to hit it if it is as good as I have read, but I cannot get specific information.
    Thanks all

Normally, the area below Iron Gate is a good place to start. However, this is not a normal year. Just checked the flow and it is running over 5,000 cfs. This is over twice the fishable flow. It would be best to hit it under 2,000 cfs. Time of year...early to mid May. Some years it extends through May.

I guess it will just keep working it's way all the way up the river by the weeks into Oregon and finally to the Williamson River.
