Well I decided to put away the lead core and launch my 2006 buggin' campaign this morning. Spurred on by a tip off from KD I sallied forth armed only with a floater and some baby parrots tied over the (long, oh so long) winter. Must admit I began to regret it when I clocked the water temp at 57f. However, bass obviously don't read thermometers 'cos I had action from the start with 7 or 8 blow ups in a couple of hours. I was having a blast but rather concerned that nothing would stay stuck. Then along came this baby for her breakfast:
She boga'd at 6.5lb and I nearly lost her in the weeds but Mr Minn Kota and my net came to the rescue.
Guys I've been fortunate enough to catch some really nice fish over the years but I swear this one gave me as much, if not more, pleasure as anything in the past.
Had to pack in at noon 'cos I'd left my bloody sandwiches on the kitchen table.
Delta Buggin' is a drug and KD is the pusher - thanks again Kevin!
