    You need to add INSANE to the "old , retired" bit ..... I'm usually good for about THREE of the same fly before the mind starts to wander

    What did you tye after those Shad bugs ????

    Carl,

    Wow! That is a lot of flies. What was the most popular or most requested shad fly and color combo back then and did the combo vary from the Rusian River to the American River? Has it changed at all since then? Can you post a close up of one of your shad flies? I would enjoy seeing the others you mentioned also.

    Carl,

    I didn't realize that Kiene's still had your flies in stock. Going into the store to see them is not a problem, actually it is a good excuse as I have been looking to buy a two handed rod and just can't decide on one. Don't tell anyone that Bill has a large selection to choose from in a wide range of prices with some nice discounted models as well. That way I can take my sweet time in deciding on one!
