Couple more from this past weekend. Water was HIGH but still managed a couple. Got "tagged" by the little guy with his current business this time of the year, ugh. Still too afraid to take out the digital so the disposables will have to do. Any good ideas about keeping an expensive digital alive during or at the time of a spill??

Hey slage, looks like you had a great time out there! That's a nice chunky looking fish in that first photo.

I'd like to know the answer to the camera thing too, especially after toasting mine in a creek last summer. The option I've decided to go with for the time being is to carry a very cheap one -- I just took delivery of a used digital Kodak I got off of eBay for $36. (It's basically a used version of the $150 one I dunked.) It works well, particularly for "hand" shots (i.e., closeups) and, given its low cost, I won't cry as hard if I trash it.

Of course, buying a waterproof Pentax is another, albeit expensive, option but then you're faced with the choice between camera vs. new fly rod, camera vs. new fly rod, camera vs. new fly rod. . . .

I have a pentax optio 43 wr and it is submergable up to something like 3 feet. I have dropped it in the water more than a few times and it is still working. It also takes great pictures. They have a few more new models out but you might be able to find this one around $250-$300. A steal for the price.

Also hit the feather a few weeks ago with some success. Managed to hook two nice adults and landed one around 22". Check out st. pattys day beauty.

I did see that one, nice!
I have had a lot of luck up there this winter. Different cameras but identical, size wise, looking fish. My friend and I have been having a blast!
They released a bit much this past weekend. Deceivingly.
I was solo and the levels looked ok all the way to the point of entering the water. Two steps in and mid-chest, whew, time to hit the bank...
Have gotten too spoiled up there this wet winter.
