    Default 3/8/06 Lake Amador Report

    was there yesterday and kept on seeing schools of fish swim by near the corner of the dam... decided to try fly fishing for them.. using a 5wt rod... beaded black wolly bugger..threw my first cast.. fish took it and i hooked it, then it shooked its head and it came off....a few cast later.. hooked one and caught it... a few cast later..another one... had a few more bits but couldnt hoook up....

    MY FIRST AMADOR CUTBOWS ON A FLY!!!!

    Good job man! I fished that lake once and I did it exactly the same way. I just wait for those pods of fish to come by then cast to em. I wasn't using a fly though but it produced a couple of nice fish.
