sac area ponds

Newer to the area. was wondering about local ponds, lakes, reservoirs. More specifically, walking, and bank fishing with good access to fishy water. Checked out a couple so far, nothing doing.
Not looking for trophies, just some life on the other end of the line.

At our fly shop we have a list of a dozen or more local ponds that we print in the Spring and hand out.

I think April/May/June is prime time for warm water fisheries in general in Nor Cal.

I hear that Delta Black Bass guide Kevin Doran fishes top water for them in the PM all summer, May through September.
