    Default Kangaroo Lake

Anyone ever fish Kangaroo Lake? I am thinking of taking a trip up there late summer/early fall and am wondering if anyone had any advice, experience, tips for fishing that lake?

    Default kangaroo lake

I assume you are referring to kangaroo lake in siskiyou county.

I've fished it many times. beautiful small mountain lake. quite a few fishermen during the summer. easy access. has been improved with wheelchair ramps to the water, restrooms, etc. really helpful to have a pontoon boat or float tube in order to get away from the bank fishermen. decent hatches. good ant fishing early season and hoppers later in the season. lake is not at high elevation but still freezes over most winters, so check with locals to make sure it's open before you head up in the spring. depending on your time you can fashion a great trip including the lower sac, upper sac, mcloud, lake siskiyou, klamath, tangle blue, whiskeytown, trinity.....sorry, I got carried away for a moment. enjoy!
My own ties accurately represent dead and disintegrating insects.
