American Flow Warning!
Tomorrow, Saturday, the flows in the American are scheduled to go up again in the day time hours. At 1:00 they will increase from 7,500 to 9,000. At 3:00 they will increase to 12,000 and at 5:00 they will go up to 15,000 cfs. They is a very serious matter to all anglers along the river. Spread the word.

At 4:00 pm it looks like they have actually dropped the flows to @4.300 cfs...so much for their scheduled increases. Perhaps someone with a little common sense changed the releases to the night time. We shall see.

At 1:00 pm. today the gates on Nimbus malfunctioned and sent the river from @7,500 cfs. up to @20,000 cfs. I'm sure that this will be on the news tomorrow.

That scheduled release is unbelievably lame. On a Saturday at the height of steelhead season? Then to have a malfunction as serious as that? Glad no one died out there... :x

7,500 to 20,000! That's pretty scary. I hope noone got caught out there.
