    Default First Rogue Winter Steelhead

After getting to 38,300 cfs about two weeks ago Rogue now flowing about 2,700 cfs and 42 degrees. Was hoping to catch some tail end summer/fall steelhead but this AM behind the house caught & released a chrome bright 14" half pounder and then went back the last hour before dark and caught & released this very thick, chrome bright 30" wild winter steelhead. I usually don't expect winter fish in the Grants Pass area until the second week of January.
