Napa River 10/20

I got a short break this morning so I squeezed in a few hours on the river. I launched at Kennedy park at 7:30 and fished the outgoing tide till 10. In the few hours that I was there I managed 2 dinks, a 7.5# and 9# striper to hand. I also had another decent fish on but I couldn't strip line fast enough to keep up when the initial run was right towards the boat. All fish came on a 3/0 chart/white flashtail clouser in areas with less current. Also, most grabs came as the fly was sinking during pauses in the retrieve. The water temp was 65 and the water quality seemed a little better after last week's showers. Another heck of a way to spend a few hours!
